Client: G&P Trucking
The Situation:
G&P Trucking is a premiere truckload freight carrier service company based in Columbia SC, whose strategy revolves around a focused approach to serve specific customers requiring exceptional service to target markets, allowing them to provide outstanding service to their customers and to be a preferred place to work for professional truck drivers. They have been a wonderful customer of ours since 2011 and have been on the road to upgrading their office space throughout this time to match their sophisticated, warm, and modern environment. Each area of their space has been up-fitted in phases, to allow as little disruption to their workflow as possible. We have been happy to help them on this endeavor.
The Problem:
The challenge was -
- Coordinating the displacement of the existing personnel into (2) double-wide office trailers located behind the main building so they could continue to get their jobs done during the renovations of their respective areas.
- Making sure all of the furniture ordered for each area was going to be in before it was needed, which required a lot of coordination between the CEI design team and purchasing department.
- Quickly and efficiently installing their new furniture as each area was completed.
- Getting the displaced employees moved into their new areas as fast and smoothly as possible.
- Staying on top of communication and site visits to work with the client in carefully mapping out each move.

The Situation:
GIS is a nationally accredited background check company that has been providing background screening services since 1966. In recent years, GIS has grown to provide drug testing, onboarding and tax credit solutions, in addition to industry-specific solutions. In the summer of 2015, they expanded into the beautiful Pinnacle Park building in northeast Columbia, and being a long-time client of Connecting Elements, came to us to outfit the building for them.

Client: Christ the King Catholic High School
The Situation:
Christ the King Catholic High School was opened in 2013 by the Diocese of Charlotte, as their flagship private school in the Charlotte, NC area. Christ the King is a college prep, co-educational Catholic high school operating under the direction of the Diocese of Charlotte. The school is open to students of all faiths, ethnic, social, and economic backgrounds. One of our Charlotte area account managers reached out to the Diocese at a time that happened to be very early in the school's planning stages. A relationship was born, and the Diocese entrusted Connecting Elements with the design and space planning for the furnishings of their new private school.
The Problem:
The challenge was -
- As the first private school sponsored by the Diocese of Charlotte, presenting a facility that portrayed a welcoming, fresh, and modern outlook with a conservative buffer was imperative.
- Since it was a new school, there was a very important timeline to stick to in order to allow the school to open on time and fully functional.
- Being contracted to design and plan all the commercial furnishings, we needed to be able to provide everything from lockers, to kilns, to lab exhausts while still maintaining the aesthetic cohesion.

The Situation:

Their mission to love and value people drives everything they do. Client: Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Hospital
The Situation:
Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge hospital is the newest hospital in the Palmetto Health medical facility family. Created to serve the residents of the western cities of the midlands area, it is a full service facility with 76 beds, an intensive care unit, a labor and delivery unit and a newborn nursery, six operating rooms, and diagnostic and treatment services including laboratory, imaging, pharmacy and more. Palmetto Health medical facilities are a long-standing customer, and came to Connecting Elements to help them with several of their furnishing needs for their newest facility. They needed bactericidal surfaces for exam rooms with a warm, contiguous look throughout the hospital that could be reassembled in other areas as the branch changes and expands.
The Problem:

The Situation:
Providence Country Club is a "full service, year round club featuring an exquisite Dan Maples designed golf course, fourteen tennis courts, and state-of-the-art pool facilities, including three pools and a newly constructed outdoor bar and dining area with a fire pit." It's one of Charlotte's premiere family country clubs, so when we had the opportunity to lend them a hand with furnishing some of their new outdoor seating, we were extremely excited!

The Situation:
Poplar Crossing Commons is an apartment home development designed for independent living for seniors 55 years and older and consists of 33 one bedroom and 33 two bedroom apartments as well as a multi-purpose room with kitchen, computer center, library, fitness center, hair salon, coin-operated laundry, washer/dryer hookups, organic raised garden beds, covered picnic/grill area and multiple sitting areas. We reached out to them early on to help them design and furnish their offices, common areas, library, and community room.

The Situation:
Atlatl Software, a Charleston-based up and coming pioneer of the Sales Resource Planning (SRP) software category and sister company to SafeRack, a leader in EPC services and custom loading platforms and gangways for truck, railcar and industrial safety application, opened their new office in downtown Charleston SC in 2015. They and their design firm, LS3P Interiors, and architect, Henry J. Smith Architects, reached out to us to coordinate the office furnishings in their new facility. Being a fast-growing tech firm, it was important they present a contemporary and industrial aesthetic, utilizing some of the architectural interests in the renovated building.
